Vacation Purchase Program

Princeton Hydro offers full-time employees the option to purchase up to five (5) days of additional vacation time for the upcoming calendar year. Vacation purchase is available during open enrollment and is done through pre-tax payroll deductions in 8-hour increments.

Key Details

• The maximum number of vacation days you may have in a year (including both regular and purchased time) is 22 days.

• The cost of purchased vacation is calculated using your hourly rate multiplied by the number of hours in your normal workday. If your salary changes mid-year, the cost will still be based on your salary as of January 1.

• Purchased vacation must be used within the same calendar year it’s purchased. Carryover is not permitted, but unused purchased days may be eligible for buy-back.

• Regular vacation must be used before purchased vacation.
